An intimate invitation-only VIP event with Anna Dello Russo

Symphony’s birthday celebrations kicked off with a all-are-invited meet and greet with Anna at Symphony, The Dubai Mall on the 30th of October 2011 between 11am and 1pm. Anna met her fans, signed copies of the Symphony Edit Magazine and took Polaroid pictures. She impressed everyone with her energy and made each and every guest feel like a million dirhams – stopping to talk to everyone and handing out invaluable advice to budding ADR’s. Later that evening, Anna hosted Symphony’s exclusive invitation-only VIP event, again at Symphony, The Dubai Mall, which started with Anna revealing her window surprise at 7pm sharp – the curtains were drawn to expose the stunning fashion icon holding gold balloons in the Symphony window alongside giant, gold, sparkly blown up logos for ‘J’ADR’ and the ‘SS’ emblem. The second window featured a huge gold birthday cake especially created by Blossom Sweets for the occasion.

Anna then mingled with guests, taking pictures in the Fishfayce photo booth and chatting to the esteemed invitees. The Address provided delectable canapés which were complemented by Sweet Stuff Dubai’s delicious cake pops and cupcakes and Sugarboxes divine oreo truffles. Pretty, pastel floral arrangements were provided by Olivier Dolz.

At 8.15pm Anna assisted auctioneer and TV presenter Tom Urquhart with a charity auction in aid of OXFAM. Lots generously donated by Symphony friends included a limited edition Burj Khalifa model, a Prabal Gurung dress, a Jason Wu bag, a one-of-a-kind Saeed Khalifa artwork, a ADR signed copy of Vogue Nippon and one of Anna’s iconic, eccentric hats. The auction raised a total of 36,400dhs for Oxfam’s amazing cause.

Guests walked home with a goody bag containing a miniature Symphony shopping bag cake created by Blossom Sweets, a Anna Dello Russo-signed copy of the Symphony Edit Magazine, an exclusive Symphony gift voucher and a one-of-a-kind limited edition Michael Angel scarf.

A HUGE thank you to each and everyone of you for all of your support! We love our Symphony Family. Full event pictures can be found on the Symphony Facebook Page

Anna Dello Russo for Symphony | October 30 11-1pm

On Sunday the 30th of October 2011 we opened our doors to our loyal Symphony family and invited you all to come along and celebrate our birthday in style with none other than Anna Dello Russo – Creative Director at Vogue Nippon and worldwide fashion icon. The event was the first of a series of celebrations we planned with the “fashion maniac”. Anna was at Symphony, The Dubai Mall from 11-1pm to meet her fans, sign copies of The Symphony Edit AW11 magazine and take Polaroid pictures. Guests were treated to yummy cupcakes and cake pops from Sweet Stuff Dubai and a complimentary candy station. Anna brought her inimitable energy and gave each and every person her time, a photo and that all-important autograph… she even scribbled on a moustache and glasses onto the ‘Anna Dello Russo, 7 days of style’ feature in the new magazine!

Take a look at some of the pictures from Sundays daytime event…
