Tata Naka Autumn/Winter 2012

Tata-Naka is designed by identical twins, Tamara and Natasha Surguladze, born in Tbilisi, Georgia, 1978. The name Tata-Naka originated from their childhood nicknames and thus was an organic choice when deciding on a signature name for the brand. The two sisters arrived in London in 1996 to study design at Central St Martin‟s. On graduating in the year 2000 Barneys NYC dedicated a wall to their awe-inspiring collection. The British Fashion Council that is globally renowned for being the launch platform for emerging talent has consecutively granted Tata-Naka with the celebrated “New Generation” award at London Fashion Week and has seen the brand blossom into an independent UK luxury design house with 2012 being their 12th anniversary in the industry. Ambassadors include Cameron Diaz, Mina Suvari and Sarah Jessica Parker.

Alessandra Rich Sleeping Beauty Autumn/Winter 2012

For Autumn/Winter 2012 Rich was inspired by Brothers Grimm’s legendary fairytale ‘Sleeping Beauty’. The mood is lazy and light, with sleepwear taking centre stage. The dresses this season drape like freshly ironed linen, with the colour palette focusing on pastels: peach, yellow, blue and cream. Dressing gowns are reinterpreted as beautiful, timeless over-gown coats. Lace, taffeta and chiffon are ever-present as is to be expected of Rich’s glorious collections.
